On 21st June, a meeting was held at Nyeri ACK Guest House to create awareness to the school directors from Nyeri region who came together to learn about the CLASSworks Program offered by DEAN. The DEAN team presented a comprehensive overview of the program, highlighting the products that DEAN offers, and the support given for 2 years in the schools’ digital transformational journey. This included curriculum integration, teacher professional development on the 21st Century pedagogical skills, student empowerment and community engagement especially with CSL activities.
The meeting brought together directors of all ages, and there was a shared curiosity about the program’s potential. Attendees even experimented with the ElimuPi content on their phones, demonstrating their eagerness to embrace digital learning. One director emphasized the program’s timeliness, sharing how the school had to borrow tablets just the day before from a neighboring school to carry out a task. They are eagerly looking forward to the next steps in joining the program.
The meeting generated a wave of positive enthusiasm for the CLASSworks program in Nyeri. Empowering schools and students with the tools and skills they need, CLASSworks is paving the way for a brighter digital future in Nyeri and beyond.
